EMSANET Wireless provides dedicated high speed wireless
Internet access utilizing Spread Spectrum Technology. Offering TCP/IP communication services for small to large businesses, home offices or serious residential Internet users. EMSANET Wireless' Internet access
product is ultra-secure, extremely reliable and faster than DSL or cable modem services. EMSANET Wireless' products are the first true alternative to the copper-based telephone company.
Speed
This long awaited wireless system provides 1.5 Mbps of burstable dedicated Internet access.
The system connects via 10 base T directly into an Ethernet LAN or PC without any additional required equipment, such as modems, CSU/DSU's or routers.
Technology
The EMSANET Wireless network
utilizes an advanced type of technology known as Spread Spectrum, which was originally developed by the U.S. Government for security purposes. Security of transmitted data in a wireless connection is assured through
"Spread Spectrum Frequency Hopping". Your data "hops" seamlessly from one frequency to another every 400 milliseconds.
This process is extremely reliable and virtually immune to RF
interference or jamming by other signals.
Security
A router is built-in to the customer interface providing ultimate security for the customers LAN traffic. Only packets bound to and from the
Internet ever get sent over the air, thus safeguarding the customers Local Area Network traffic. As an added bonus of Spread Spectrum Technology, the signal is authenticated, frequency scrambled, and
proprietary-digitally encoded.
Reliability
The EMSANET Wireless' Megabit system uses very low frequency, point-to-multipoint technology and is totally immune to the effects of rain, snow, fog,
etc. Circuit reliability for our service is 99.95%, which is comparable to any wireline or optical fiber system.
Network Management
All EMSANET Wireless networks are managed and monitored by EMSANET staff on a 24/7 basis. EMSANET's system operates a state-of-the-art SNMP system, fully alarmed and maintained by highly trained professional
communications personnel, from our data center on-call 24 hours per day.
Installation
Our wireless system is extremely simple to install. Our small antenna (approximately 12 inches in diameter)
allows for unintrusive placement and flexibility in installation. IEEE rated and approved with significant corporate and government deployment.
Cable connection to customers LAN or PC is a simple CAT 5 Ethernet cable with RJ-45 connector. A small indoor plug-in transformer supplies power to the equipment through the same cable.
